Christina Jones (Annie) was a finalist for the National Broadway tour of Annie. She has appeared in the role of “Kate” in the most recent production of Annie at Actors Playhouse, Coral Gables. Other performances include: an orphan in Annie at the Naples Dinner Theatre, Naples, FL, and “Molly” in Annie at the Lake Worth Playhouse. She also appeared in Honk at the Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theater, and has regularly performed the National Anthem as a vocalist for the Gulfstream Park Race Track, Hallendale. Christina is a fourth grade student from Palm City, FL. She dedicates this current performance in the lead role, to the memory of her beloved mother Staci, who recently died from a battle with cancer. Natalie McPherson (Annie) is thrilled to be in her second PPTOPA production. She is in 5th grade at Griffin Elementary. Her credits include Mame (Patrick), Annie (Kate) at Actors Playhouse and three years at Performance Project. Additional credits include Snoopy (Patty) Charlotte's Web (Fern) Pinocchio (Wolf) Annie (Annie) and Les Miserables (Little Cosette). Natalie would like to thank the PPTOPA family for a great experience and to her family for their never ending love and support! Jeff Streitfeld (Oliver Warbucks) a lawyer in the community since 1974 and a Broward County Circuit Judge since 1991, Jeff is thrilled to return to the stage as a member of PPTOPA. A former professional band leader and entertainer in the Washington, D.C. and Tampa Bay areas, Jeff is a member of the Master Chorale of South Florida and a former member of the Florida Philharmonic Chorus. Jeff’s past roles include Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Claudius in Hamlet, and Matthew Harrison Brady in Inherit the Wind. Jeff is grateful to his mother, Ruth, his wife Linda, and his children Evyan, Jason, Rachel, Jessica, and Noah for their encouragement and support. Tera Young (Grace) is happy to be performing again with PPTOPA alongside her husband. She was last on the PPTOPA stage in Carousel. Tera has performed as Maria in The Sound of Music, Liza in My Fair Lady, Maggie Cutler in The Man Who Came to Dinner. She has also played the parts of Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Shannon in Finian's Rainbow, Yum Yum in The Mikado, Violetta in La Traviatta as well as others. Norman Young (Rooster) is a practicing dentist in Ft. Lauderdale. He has been a long time fan of music, theatre, and fine arts. Norm plays the guitar and sings in male quartets, ensembles and church choirs. He played lead roles in the nationally televised Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant and has participated in the Pirates of Penzence and The Sound of Music. Norman enjoyed his first experience with PPTOPA in his role as Henry Higgins in their production of My Fair Lady that he joined the cast again as Lank in Crazy for You and most recently as Mr. Snow in Carousel. Norman remains the biggest fan of his lovely wife, Tera. Lenny Marine (Rooster/Bert Healy u/s) is a 24 year old student at Florida Atlantic University with a major in Mass Media Communication. He has played the role of the Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors and John Harker in Dracula at Western High school. He has also played Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun and the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz at Camp Louise in Maryland. Lenny enjoys practically all sports, plays the piano, and aspires to one day direct/write films. Dawn Luna (Lilly) was last seen in Carousel, Crazy for You and My Fair Lady and made her directorial debut as Assistant Director of Ragtime. Dawn is responsible for many of the costumes and headdresses. She is a great asset to PPTOPA and she hopes to be around for a long time in the future. She would like to thank her new husband Alexander for his love and support. Janine Cichewicz (Miss Hannigan) is proud to be one of the founding members of PPTOPA But her greatest accomplishments are her four children Adrian, Andrew, James and Victoria. By day Janine is a social worker, and by night she is mother, board member for PPTOPA, actor, set designer and has performed in such shows as Crazy for You, Fiddler on the Roof, Camelot and The King & I. She was Assistant Director for You Can’t Take It with You and Director for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Jekyll & Hyde, The Man Who Came to Dinner and Brighton Beach Memoirs. Alvin E. Entin (F.D.R.) is Chairman of the Board of PPTOPA. Alvin has entertained and delighted audiences with his performances as Pellinore in Camelot, Col. Pickering in My Fair Lady and Sheridan Whiteside in The Man Who Came to Dinner. He has also appeared in Fiddler on the Roof, Guys & Dolls, You Can’t Take it With You, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Anything Goes, Li’l Abner, Jekyll & Hyde, Crazy for You, and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Thanks must also be give to Cindy and Tanya who never knew that their job description included making copies and stuffing mailers for PPTOPA. Most of all, Alvin wants to thank his wife Lois for her sage advice and patience. Kelsie Templin (Orphan) is making her acting debut in Annie. This talented 9-year old is a 4th grade honor roll student at Silver Palms Elementary School who enjoys dancing, music, soccer, and art. Kelsie wants to thank her mom and dad for getting her involved in P.P.T.O.P.A. Caitlin Hemmer (Orphan) was recently in The Wizard of Oz with PPTOPA and looks forward to doing more shows here in the future. She also was seen in A Christmas Carol at the Broward Center For Performing Arts. This summer she played Eponine in Les Miserables and Drood in The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Caitlin plans on moving to New York in the near future (with our without her parents). In the meantime she is an Honor Roll student at Walter C. Young Middle School. Synclair Henry (Orphan) is excited to be performing again with PPTOPA. She was last seen in their production of Carousel and Ragtime. She is a fifth grader and honor roll student at Pembroke Pines FSU Charter Elementary School. Synclair enjoys singing, cooking, girl scouts and playing volleyball and basketball. Sydney Henry (Orphan) is happy to join her mother and older sister once again in her second production with PPTOPA. She recently appeared in their production of Carousel and Ragtime. Sydney is 6 years old and a second grade student at Pembroke Pines FSU Charter Elementary School. She loves reading, singing, bike riding and girl scouts. Erin Maloney (Orphan) is proud to be part of PPTOPA’s family again. As one of Annie’s orphans, she sings and dances her way into the hearts of audiences the way she did as The Coroner in The Wizard of Oz, and as Sandy in Grease. She studies acting with Inner Focus Talent and dancing with Dancer’s Gallery. She hopes to be a writer some day. Amanda Glaser (Orphan) is 7 years old and is a 2nd grader at Griffin Elementary. Annie is the 3rd production of Amanda’s young acting career. You may have seen her last as a munchkin in the lollipop guild during PPTOPA’s presentation of the Wizard Of Oz. Amanda enjoys the stage, especially in this production when she is able to participate with her little sister Megan and all of her cousins (Savannah, Victoria, Katie). During her spare time, Amanda enjoys reading, working on her new computer and playing softball with her dad. Megan Glaser (Orphan) is 5 years old and is a Kindergartner at Griffin Elementary. Megan was last seen on stage as a munchkin during PPTOPA’s presentation of the Wizard Of Oz. Megan enjoys acting alongside of her big sister Amanda and all of her cousins (Savannah, Victoria, Katie). At home, Megan loves to dress up and sing and dance for Mom & Dad. Megan’s hobbies include riding her bike, skating and of course, acting. Rebecca Lynn Newland (Orphan) is in 3rd grade and on the Honor Roll at Griffin Elementary. When she’s not acting, she excels in cheerleading and softball and enjoys spending time with her little brother Brandon. Rebecca has been on our stage many times in plays such as The Wizard of Oz and is part of our PPTOPA Jr. program. She enjoys being on stage with her cousins, Amanda, Megan, Savannah, Katie & Victoria. Savannah Ashley Marino (Molly) six year old Savannah first graced this stage at the early age of three months old, as one of the children of Siam in The King and I. She has many productions to her credit including Lil Abner, Rag Time, and most recently The Wizard of Oz. Savannah would like to thank her father Anthony, and sister Mackenzie for their love and support. "I love you mommy! Thank you for being the best mommy." Katherine Joan Sheppard (Orphan) is five years old. She is a kindergartener at Southwide Academy in Royal Palm Beach. Katie has been a student of P.P.T.O.P.A. Junior for the last year, and enjoys acting, singing and dancing. She was last seen in PPTOPA's Wizard of Oz were she played one of the Lullaby League ballerinas. Katie loves to play with her cousins and read to her brother and sister. Stephanie Diggles (Orphan) is 11 years old. She goes to St. Joseph's Catholic School. She is in the school choir and band. Every year at school she is in the Christmas Program and the Spring Concert. She loves to sing, dance, and act. Currently, she is in a Dance Company on Miami Beach. She has performed many shows with the company. She goes to the Little Theater School for her voice and acting lessons. She has been with the school since she was five years old. Stephanie was in Annie last year in Actors Playhouse. She played the part of July and the show lasted a little over two months. She loves the stage and wishes to become a big actress one day. She thanks her parents, Joanie Edward, her two voice teachers, and Ralph D'Ovidio for all their help. She has potential and hopes to do her best in acting and every thing else. Jamie Menteguiaga (Orphan) is appearing in her first performance with PPTOPA. She is 9 years old. She has been cheerleading for 5 years and performing in a play is a new experience for her. She is very excited about being a part of Annie. Madison Guillen (Orphan) is 9 years old. She dances tap, jazz, ballet, and lyrical and does acrobats. She has been in SCROOGE the musical with FLCT and has been in SLEEPING BEAUTY with CBT. Hayley Margules (Orphan) is happy to be performing in her first show with PPTOPA. She appeared in the Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theater 2003 production of The Stone in the Road and the leading role of Tina in Camp Kennybrook’s 2004 production of Ruthless. Hayley is proud to be involved with this great show and thanks the Director and talented cast for this opportunity. Kali Rosendo (Orphan) is ten years old, in fourth grade at Summit Questa Montessori School and is thrilled to be performing in Annie! She has previously appeared as the orphan in A Christmas Carol at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. She has also performed in Children of Eden, The Music Man, Pinocchio, Charlotte’s Web, Les Miserables and Schoolhouse Rock. Kali would like to thank her family for all of their love and support. Emily Eagle (Orphan) is eight years old and in second grade at Chapel Trail Elementary School. This is her first role in a stage production. She is a music enthusiast and an extremely gifted singer. Emily is truly thrilled to be a part of this experience. Dori Ann Irwin (Orphan) is nine years old and is in the third grade. Dori loves to sing, act and perform on stage. Her credits include The Sound of Music and The Wiz at the Performance Project. Dori is making her debut with PPTOPA in Annie. She is excited to be working with such a wonderful cast and directors. Alexia Huggins-Day (Orphan) is a 4th grader at Miami Country Day School. She is proud to be in her second production with PPTOPA along with her Dad, Michael Day, the musical director. Alexia has also been involved in PPTOPA Jr. playing the parts of Dorothy and Oliver, school performances, and has done solo work in churches and other venues, including the 2003 PPTOPA Spring Gala, in which she sang “Who Will Buy” from Oliver. She would like to thank her parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunt for all their love and support. Mikaela Rose Zovluck (Orphan) is an honor roll student in the fourth grade at Chapel Trail Elementary. Mikaela is a student Council representative and an active member of the Girl Scouts. She is a Black Belt in Shaolin Kung Fu. This is her first experience in a community play. She is thrilled to be a part of PPTOPA. Victoria Cichewicz (Orphan) is happy to share the stage with her mother. She last appeared as the Youngest Louise in Carousel. Bernard Lawrence (Drake) has appeared with the PPTOPAA acting group in Carousel, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Jekyll and Hyde, Anything Goes, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Lil Abner. Other credits include roles in The Jazz Singer, The Secret Garden, and The Loving Child. Bernie would like to thank his wife Doris for her love and support, and his daughter Judi Goodstein for attending his performance. Linda M. Roberts (Sophie/Mrs. Pugh) a newly elected member of the PPTOPA Board of Directors, she has been performing with them since she burst onto the South Florida Community Theater scene as Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music. Some of her past credits include Camelot, Carousel, Into The Woods, Jekyll & Hyde, My Fair Lady, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Crazy For You, Sweeney Todd, Ragtime and Once Upon A Mattress. She would like to thank her husband Greg, "I love you, sweetie! You're weekends are finally FREE!!" Cristina Izquierdo (Boylan Sister, Star-To-Be, Sophie Understudy) a senior at Flanagan High School, is grateful to be apart of the cast of Annie. She plans to attend Florida State University and major in Musical Theatre. Her past credits include Lucy in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Daisy in Biloxi Blues, Susie Friend in Uncommon Women, and Johanna in Sweeney Todd, as well as being apart of the Ensemble for many other productions. She wishes to thank PPTOPA for assisting and guiding her through her theatrical journey these past five years. (I love MILK) Jennifer Leibowitz (Ensemble/Boylan Sister/Star-to-Be u/s) is a 14 year-old 8th grader at Westglades Middle School who has performed extensively with many area dance and talent organizations. Last summer she received a scholarship from the Performing Arts Institute at Miami University. She thanks her family, friends, and Mrs. Vicki, for all of their support. Keith Kramer (Ensemble/F.D.R.u/s) has starred as Mr. Kirby in You Can’t Take It With You, President Roosevelt in Arsenic and Old Lace, Earthquake McGoon in L’il Abner, and has appeared in The King and I, Fiddler on the Roof, Camelot, Guys and Dolls and Ragtime. Mr. Kramer also serves as Vice President on the PPTOPA Board. John-Michael Jones (Mr. Bundles, Harold Ickes, Judge Brandeis) makes his debut in community theatre. He is ecstatic about working with his daughter, Christina Jones in this production of Annie. His beloved wife Staci would be proud. Kyle Christensen (Ensemble) is 7 years old and is in 2nd grade at Panther Run Elementary. Kyle is active in sports and plays tennis, soccer and basketball. He also enjoys swimming in his pool with his brother, Ty and their yellow lab, Raiko. Aerielle Karpinsky (Ensemble) is 13 and is her theatrical debut. Aerielle is very excited to be apart of the cast. Laura Karpinsky (Ensemble) has been apart of the cast of Grease and The Time of Your Life. This is her first production with PPTOPA. Tasheka Gipson (Ensemble) is very excited to be in Annie because this is her first performance in a musical. She will be playing the roles of Irma, Mrs. Greene, and Francis Perkins--the first female Cabinet member. She recently moved to Miami from Montgomery, Alabama. She loves to sing and looks forward to future performances in musicals. Leon Arteche (Ensemble) is thrilled to return to PPTOPA for his fourth show. He was most recently seen as Rapunzel's Prince in his school's production of Into the Woods. He will also make his assistant directorial debut in his school's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. He is very happy to share the stage with his sister as well as his fellow actors and friends from PPTOPA. Leon wishes to thank his parents for their support and dedication, and for putting up with him and his many eccentricities. Kalena A. Armstrong-Henry (Ensemble) is delighted to be performing again with PPTOPA, having most recently appeared in their production of Carousel and Ragtime. When not performing with PPTOPA, she teaches Accounting at Miami Dade College and plays softball for a local team. She wishes to thank her family for their love and support. And, says thanks to PPTOPA for the grand experience. Kristopher Finnegan (Ensemble) has been with PPTOPA since the fall of 1998. He was last seen in Biloxi Blues and The Wizard of Oz. Other credits include Sweeny Todd, Crazy for you, Scarlet Pimpernel, and Guys and Dolls. Kris was an "eleven o'clock" addition to the cast and his hard work and dedication is appreciated. Emiliana Arteche (EnsembleBoylan Sister) has appeared in the show Annie as Molly and has also appeared as Roxie Hart in her school's Dinner Theater. Emiliana has recently preformed in the show Into the Woods as Cinderella. This is her fourth show with PPTOPA; Carousel, Ragtime and The Wizard of Oz. She would like to thank all of her family and friends that have helped her and supported her. Michelle Kramer (Ensemble) has been associated with PPTOPA since her first show, The King and I followed by Lil Abner. Michelle is currently attending Silver Trail Middle School where she participated in the choir and other school activities. Arlene Niven (Ensemble) has been in numerous productions such as Fiddler on the Roof, Hello Dolly, Music Man, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Annie and Oliver. Now she is very happy to join PPTOPA in the production of Annie. Alix John Picard (Ensemble) is new to PPTOPA but has appeared in The Wizard of Oz, Annie, The Me Nobody Knows, Christmas Carol, The Nut Cracker, Oliver and Charlotte’s Web. Michael Eagle (Ensemble) is performing in his first PPTOPA production. He has appeared as Pappy Yokum in Lil Abner and Harry the Horse in Guys and Dolls. Currently a career pilot with the US Coast Guard (16 yrs.); Mike thoroughly enjoys golf! He is pleased to perform with his daughter Emily. Peanut (Sandy) a long time actor in the dog world, Peanut, a seven year old Golden Retriever, was last seen in "Camelot". He has also been seen in numerous magazines and commercials including "Huggies", "Wendy's", and "Target". He was most recently seen on the cover of "American Girl" magazine. Peanut would like to thank his handler and trainer, Stacey. "Woof!" Jay Maxwell (Producer/Ensemble) has been actively involved with PPTOPA for 9 years. Currently on the Board of Directors, Jay is proud to be involved with this great show and talented cast. As always Jay dedicates this show to his daughter Lauren. Michael Day (Musical Director) is a music graduate from McGill University in Montreal. He has performed and directed in a variety of settings for the last twenty years. For several years he has enjoyed working with all the talented players of this organization. (Sound of Music, Jekyll & Hyde, My Fair Lady, Scarlet Pimpernel, Crazy For You, Sweeny Todd, The Wizard of Oz, Ragtime and Carousel) He would like to thank his wife Janice for her ongoing love and support. Jason Blitman (Assistant Director) has been with PPTOPA for almost 5 years now and has worked both onstage and on the light board for numerous shows. Previous Directorial credits include: Goldilocks; Pinocchio (Performance Project Children’s Theatre). Stage credits include Pippin (Leading Player), the title character in Charlie Brown, and countless others. Jason would like to thank Stacey, James, the PPTOPA family, Nina Felice, and Michelle Terl. A special thanks to his parents, sisters and family for all their love and support. A+ gold star -EG. Florence Andrews (Executive Director) is the artistic director for PPTOPA and an active board member since 1993, when PPTOPA was first formed. She has directed many of PPTOPA’s shows. She also handles ticket & group sales, costumes, etc. She recently directed the highly successful, critically acclaimed, productions of Ragtime and My Fair Lady. Her entire life has been dedicated to the theatre. She dedicates this show to the memory of her father, mother, and two sisters, Eileen & Joan Stacey Marino (Director/ Choreographer) has been a member of PPTOPA since it's inception. She works as an animal trainer and handler for commercial and movie production. She was assistant director for Biloxi Blues and is thrilled at having had the opportunity to have Annie as her directing debut. She has been seen in numerous productions with our group-Oliver, Fiddler on the Roof, Anything Goes, Lil Abner and most recently as Glinda in The Wizard of Oz. A fan of the theatre since she was young, Stacey has been brought up in a show biz family. As far back as her great grandfather, Ralph Sinclair. Though it has been her grandmother, Florence Andrews, who has kept theatre alive for Stacey. It is to her grandmother that this performance is dedicated. Stacey would also like to give thanks to her husband, Anthony, and three year old daughter, Mackenzie, for all their love and support. To her mother, Stacey Sr., "Watching you choreograph over the years has made it look easy. It's not." To my entire cast and crew of Annie, "Your talent and dedication have made this experience wonderful for me. Break a leg!" Last, but certainly not least, a special thanks to Stacey's six year old daughter, Savannah (Molly), "watching you on stage has been my greatest joy. You never cease to amaze me. Thank you for being my biggest fan. I will forever be yours." |
