Arsenic & Old Lace

A comedy about wicked, kind, charming, diabolical old ladies by Joseph Kesselring. Abby and Martha Brewster take in boarders, usually men with nowhere to go, just waiting out their time. They don't have to wait long because the good sisters feel so sorry for the men, they feed them arsenic and bury them in the basement. One nephew, who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt, lives with them. Another boarder is Mortimer the theater critic who discovers their secret and the third is sinister Jonathon Brewster who, in order to escape the law, has had plastic surgery that makes him look just like Frankenstein. In the end, the sisters do the right thing by all.
