ALVIN E. ENTIN (Sheridan Whiteside) is truly excited about
playing such an challenging role. Alvin enjoys playing complex characters
created by Kaufman and Hart, having previously starred as Grandpa in You Can't
Take it With You. He recently was featured as Col. Pickering in PPTOPA's
critically acclaimed production of My Fair Lady. Other roles include JB Biggley
in How To Succeed..., King Pellinore in Camelot, Matthew Harrison Brady in
Inherit the Wind, Marrying Sam in L'il Abner, and Arvide Abernathy in Guys and
Dolls. He has also appeared in Jekyll and Hyde, Sound of Music, Fiddler on the
Roof and Anything Goes. Alvin serves as the Chairman of the Board of PPTOPA and
is proud of the role he has played in helping to make it the outstanding
Community Theater in Broward County. The only thing Alvin does not understand is
why even when he plays a lead, like in this show, he still doesn't get the girl!
JAMES CICHEWICZ (Sheridan Whiteside) is President of the Pembroke Pines Theatre
of the Performing Arts, Inc., as well as actor, director, and producer. He has
numerous, award winning, roles to his credit; Hello Dolly, Fiddler on the Roof
and Brigadoon to name a few. He appeared last November in the critically
acclaimed, title role, of Jekyll & Hyde. James last appeared as Professor Henry
Higgins in My Fair Lady. He is pleased to be working alongside his friends,
especially his wife. He dedicates this performance to his great-grandfather,
Ralph Sinclair. James is proud to help bring theatre to Pembroke Pines and hopes
to further his dreams and the dreams of the company with a performing arts
center in the not too distant future.
TERA YOUNG (Maggie Cutler) appeared in PPTOPA’s production of My Fair Lady. Tera
graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Music Education and
FAU with a Master of Fine Arts. She has been seen as Maria in The Sound of
Music. She has also been Yum Yum in Mikado, Shannon in Finnian’s Rainbow, and
Philia in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. It is a pleasure to
perform with her husband again. She would like to thank her family for their
support.
ELIZABETH KING (Lorraine Sheldon) is enjoying her second appearance with the
Pembroke Pines Theatre. She performed throughout high school and at Mount
Holyoke College. Favorite roles have included Fred in Once Upon a Mattress and
Luce in The Boys from Syracuse. Elizabeth would like to thank her husband,
Brett, for his encouragement and support while she pursues her dream of
professional theater.
ANDREA KEDDELL-HEINTZ (Maggie Cutler, Understudy) has been appearing in
community theater for almost 12 years, the last 3 in South Florida. Recent
productions/ roles include Two By Two (Goldie), Annie (Grace), and The Sound Of
Music (Maria). Other favorite productions/roles, performed while living in
Upstate NY, include: My Fair Lady (Eliza), The Fantastiks (Luisa), and A Chorus
Line (Maggie). This is Andrea’s 1st production with PPTOPA. She is thrilled at
this opportunity and hopes for a lasting future with this wonderful group.
Andrea extends a heartfelt “Thank you” to her wonderful husband, Joseph A.
Heintz, Jr., Esq., and her employer, The OMI MRI Network, who continually
support Andrea’s desire to act, sing, and perform in the realm of community
theater.
TRACIE MICHELLE MURPHY (Loraine Sheldon, Understudy) has been involved with
theatre for six years, and this is her third show with PPTOPA. Usually behind
the scenes, she's grateful for this stage opportunity. Tracie was last seen in
Ruthless! at Nova High School, where she actively participates in theatre and
manages a position on Thespian Troupe 4611's board. She's thankful for the
support of her family, the cast, and to James and Janine for constantly going
out of their way for her. She's excited to be part of such a stimulating and
friendly theatre environment, and looks forward to continuing to participate in
the future.
NORMAN YOUNG (Bert Jefferson) is a practicing dentist in Ft. Lauderdale. He has
been a long time fan of music, theatre, and fine arts. Norm plays the guitar and
sings in male quartets, ensembles and church choirs. He played lead roles in the
nationally televised Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant and has participated in
the Pirates of Penzence and The Sound of Music. Norman enjoyed his first
experience with PPTOPA in his role as Henry Higgins in their recent production
of My Fair Lady. Norman remains the biggest fan of his lovely wife, Tera Young,
and he looks forward to working more with her and the PPTOPA group.
RUSTY ALLISON (Banjo/Metz) is ecstatic to be making his debut with PPTOPA. He
was recently seen as Murray in A Thousand Clowns with the Curtain Call Playhouse
and in the Alper Jewish Community Center Production of Guys & Dolls as Nathan
Detroit. He studied directing at Baylor University in Waco, Texas followed by
two years of musical theatre at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy and
acting at Michael Howard studios. Favorite Roles include Artie in House of Blue
Leaves, Linus in You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, and The Dining Room. Much love
to friends, family, and Lincoln.
LUIS-DAVID MADERA (Beverly Carlton) is making his first appearance on the PPTOPA
stage. Luis recently graduated from Barry University with a degree in Theatre.
During that time, he has been in many productions such as A Midsummer Night’s
Dream, Hello Dolly, and just played Chief Bromden in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s
Nest. Luis continues to pursue his career as a professional actor and hopes to
achieve great success in the near future.
JAY MAXWELL (Mr. Ernest Stanley) has been an active board member of PPTOPA for
the past six years handling advertising for the program book. if you would like
to place an ad, contact Jay. he also is selling penguins, cockroaches, octopus,
and a wheelchair if anyone is interested.
FLORENCE ANDREWS (Mrs. Daisy Stanley) is the artistic director for PPTOPA and an
active board member since 1992, when PPTOPA was first formed. She has directed
many of PPTOPA’s shows. She also handles ticket & group sales, costumes, etc.
She recently directed the highly successful, critically acclaimed, production of
My Fair Lady. Florence last appeared on the PPTOPA stage in Arsenic and Old
Lace. Her entire life has been dedicated to the theatre. She dedicates this show
to the memory of her father, mother, and two sisters, Eileen & Joan.
ERIK HERBSTER (Richard) graduated from the University of Central Florida with a
Bachelor in Elementary Education and is currently a third grade teacher. He
joined PPTOPA last summer where he played Mr. Meeker and Cooper in Inherit the
Wind. Erik would like to thank his family and friends along with his 2001-2002
third grade class for their support and encouragement to think artistically.
NICOLE NIEFELD (June) - is participating in her 3rd PPTOPA show, hopefully many
more. She would like to thank her family & friends for much love & support. She
would like to say Mazel Tov to Rachel Hiippaka, Michele Perkins, Brian Greene,
Dave O’Brien & Lisa Braun. Congrats to Dawn & Alex. Get Well Art! Grandma
Dee—this one is for you.
JOSH HYATT (John) is excited to be in his second PPTOPA production. He was last
seen as Harry in My Fair Lady. In his other life, Josh works in the health care
industry as a Risk Manager. Josh would like to thank his friends and family for
their support and encouragement. Special thanks to his spouse Emilio and
grandmother.
PATTY FERNANDEZ (Sarah) is pleased to be part of this show. She has appeared
with PPTOPA in Jekyll & Hyde, Anything Goes, & Noises Off. Other favorite shows
include A Chorus Line, Run For Your Life, & Gypsy. She has had sixteen years of
jazz and tap training and has choreographed numerous church and theatre
productions.
VALERIE AMBROSE (Harriet Stanley) made her debut with PPTOPA as Mrs. Higgins in
My Fair Lady and says she is thrilled to be working with the troupe again.
Besides performing in numerous revues, other roles Valerie has enjoyed
portraying include: Emilia in Othello, Catherine in Henry V, Nellie Forbush in
South Pacific, Diana in California Sweet, Helga in Passion Of Dracula, Helena in
Look Back In Anger, Dee in No Place To Be Somebody and Madame Rose in Murderous
Angels.
CHICK CICIO (Dr. Bradley) has been singing on stage since early childhood.
Performed as vocalist in Carnagie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Metropolitan
Opera House in NYC, Cafe Society and night clubs in NY just to name a few. Chick
has been associated with PPTOPA since its beginning. He has performed in
approximately 15 shows, the last being My Fair Lady. Thank You to everyone for
supporting me and my dreams.
MELISSA ADLER (Miss Preen) is appearing in her 6th show on the PPTOPA stage. She
was last seen on stage as a Nun in Sound of Music, but has been backstage with
this group ever since. Melissa will be starting her senior year at Flanagan in
the fall. She would like to thank her family and friends for all their support
over the years. Also the cast and crew for making this such a wonderful
experience. She dedicates this performance to her Aunt Lisa and her Uncle
Martin.
BRIAN GREENE (Sandy/Richard Understudy) is making his acting debut with PPTOPA.
Recently he has appeared in Out at Time with David Washington & the Miami TV
Series Ocean Drive. Brian would like to thank PPTOPA for the opportunity to grow
as an actor and would like to dedicate his performance to his family and new
friends at PPTOPA.
DIANE MURPHY (Mrs.McCutcheon)
The Man Who Came to Dinner Diane's 4th production with PPTOPA. She has been
seen on the PPTOPA stage before as the Queen of Transylvania in My Fair Lady,
Sister Berthe in The Sound of Music, and as a passenger in Anything Goes. Diane
has also been featured in the following roles; Julie Jordan in Carousel,
Cinderella in Cinderella, and the Good Witch of the North in The Wizard of Oz.
Diane is a certified Human Resources Professional with ADP of Miami. Diane would
like to dedicate this performance to her parents with a grateful heart for their
unconditional love and encouragement.
LINDA ROBERTS (Mrs. Dexter) is performing for the fourth time on the PPTOPA
stage. She has appeared as Mother Abbess in Sound of Music, Jekyll & Hyde and My
Fair Lady. Performing since she was young, Linda has appeared in several
productions, such as L’il Abner, Camelot, Bye Bye Birdie, and Into the Woods.
She would like the entire cast to “break a leg”. We’ll miss you Rachel and
Michele!
GARY ENTIN (Radio Technician) is glad to be working with another PPTOPA show. He
has been in Oliver, Fiddler on the Roof, Camelot, Guys & Dolls, King and I, L’il
Abner, Sound of Music, Inherit the Wind, and backstage crew in Jekyll & Hyde.
Gary loves working with his twin, Edmund and his dad, Alvin.
EDMUND ENTIN (Radio Technician) has been with PPTOPA since he was 9. Credits
include Camelot, Sound of Music, & Inherit the Wind. Edmund won best actor at
District 13 one act festival this past school year. He would like to thank Mrs.
Whicht and his family and friends for all their support.
ADRIAN CICHEWICZ (Westcott) is returning to the PPTOPA stage. He was last seen
in The King & I. He is happy to be working with his mother & father once again.
SHAWN FINNEGAN (Mr. Baker/Sandy Understudy) is returning to the PPTOPA stage. He
was last seen in Anything Goes as the Chinese prisoner. He is happy to be
working once again with his sister, Kim. Shawn would like to thank his family
for their continued support.
GREG ROBERTS (Expressman) - is making his acting debut with PPTOPA. No stranger
to the PPTOPA family, he has helped out backstage with several shows. He is
thrilled to be appearing on stage for the first time with his wife, Linda.
KIMBERLY FINNEGAN (Assistant to the Director) enjoys working with PPTOPA as the
Recording Secretary on the board. She was last the Assistant Director of My Fair
Lady. Some of her credits include Frau Schmidt in Sound of Music, Jekyll & Hyde
(amazing tech crew), Anything Goes, L’il Abner, & Inherit the Wind. She would
like to thank all of her family and friends for their continued support over the
years.
BENN PERRY (Assistant Director) is appearing in his third show with PPTOPA, but
it is his first opportunity to work behind the scenes as Assistant Director. He
wishes to thank Janine, a true inspiration, for giving him this opportunity and
to express what a pleasure it has been working under her tutelage. Benn played
Spider and understudied the role of John Gabriel Utterson in Jekyll & Hyde,
enjoying the distinct privilege of acting alongside James Cichewicz's Henry
Higgins and the rest of the original cast of My Fair Lady during its closing
performance, which he contends is "the crowning achievement in my new found
passion...theater." Never, not for a second, does Benn take for granted his life
support system, his life partner and lifelong best friend...Judy.
JANINE CICHEWICZ (Director) is proud to be one of the founding members of PPTOPA
But her greatest accomplishments are her four children Adrian, Andrew, James and
Victoria. By day Janine is a social worker, and by night she is mother, board
member for PPTOPA, actor, set designer and has performed in such shows as
Fiddler on the Roof, Camelot and The King & I. She was Assistant Director for
You Can’t Take It with You and Director for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to
the Forum and Jekyll & Hyde. Janine would like to thank her assistant directors,
cast and crew for working so hard during the past eight weeks.
